We have been living in our camper for six days now. We are still enjoying it too!... No child has been choked... no lives have been threatened. Well, not yet.. ha ha.. We have really enjoyed our time together as a family. We have spent more time doing thing together as a family- as our limited space forces that to happen. I didn't really think before about how easy it is to go to our separate corners of the house to do our own things. That's no longer an option... :)

We are leaving FT Leavenworth on June 14th and heading to Spring Canyon in Buena Vista, CO. That's an OCF retreat that we are staying at for a week of fun there. We are stopping in Colorado Springs the night before to spend some time with friends. After our week at the retreat, we are driving up through the Rockies to visit some friends in Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, CO- Nate and Dierdre Kinley. After a few days there, we are heading up to the FT Collins area to visit with our friends the Biggers. Following our stop there, we are planning to head up to Grand Teton National park for a day, then on to Yellowstone for a week. After we leave Yellowstone, we are driving up to Glacier National Park in Montana and Canada. We will probably find somewhere neat to stay along the way. Let us know if you have any recommendations. We are staying a week in Glacier National Park before we head over to Joint Base Lewis McChord for our future assignment. We'll stop and spend the night somewhere along the way there.
We aren't sure about our housing situation at JBLM, so we are planning to stay in the camper for a while when we get there. The housing office has been sending us mixed signals on the availability of housing, so we will just wait and see what they have when we get there.
We have spent a lot of time planning out this trip. So far, things are going pretty well- with the exception of the flat tire. I pray things continue to go well for us on the road. I made a call to an Airstream dealer in ST Louis (Closest one to us) this morning to get some odds and ends for repairs from the flat tire. They were really helpful and the parts were far less expensive than we had originally anticipated- so that is great! They are UPSing the stuff to us in time for me to make the repair next week before we get on the road. I wasn't expecting the people to be so helpful- so I was really pleased with my conversation with them.
Keep us in your prayers as we take this show on the road.
