Hitting the road- June 14th

Friday, June 14^th- I finished up school this morning and then headed back to Weston to get on the road.  We got ready, packed up our stuff, and got on the road.  But wait…. Where is Stripes--Our lovable kitty cat??  Stripes unfortunately decided to stay in Weston Bend State Park…  he came back for breakfast in the morning.. and then went back out in the woods and hid from us.  After spending a few hours in the woods looking for Stripes, we decided to head our.  The kids were crushed.  After a few hours on the road, they seemed to be satisfied that Stripes would be ok in Kansas.  We drove to our friends’, the Honeys, house and dropped off our VW and then got on the road.  (The Honeys are going to join us later on our trip in Yellowstone and Glacier!! Yay!!)   Anyways, we drove well into the night to cover the 550 miles to Peyton, CO to spend the night at the Schluessler’s house. 

Stopped on the way for dinner at a Long Horn Steakhouse.
